Loni – Dental Hygienist
We would also like to welcome our new hygienist, Loni, to our family!
Loni graduated from dental hygiene in 2004 from University of Manitoba. She enjoys what she does and it shows in her interactions with patients.
Loni Has 3 beautiful children and enjoys spending time in the pool with them and her husband during the summer months. Outside of family time, she also likes to play volleyball and soccer.
Dr. Jessica Carswell has joined the Princess Dental Centre Family!!
Our patients and our staff will greatly benefit from her expertise, wonderful smile, and an awesome personality. She fits well with the Princess Dental Family.
Dr. Jessica Carswell was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she completed her undergraduate studies in Sciences and graduated from the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry. Growing up, Jessica always enjoyed going to her family dentist and realized early on that she would love to have a career in making bright, healthy smiles too. When she wasn’t wrapped up in her studies, Jessica enjoyed playing hockey for the University of Manitoba Bisons and is looking forward to finding a new rec team in Brandon and cheering for the Wheat Kings!
Brooke – Administration
Another gem we have added to the Princess family is Brooke. Brooke will be helping out with many things at Princess Dental Centre. You might see her at the front desk or buzzing around in the back, either way, her smile will light up your day.
Brooke recently moved back to Brandon from Saskatoon where her husband was attending university. She has two busy boys and spends most of her weekends with her family at nearby lakes.
You are…….terrifically tireless, exceptionally excellent, abundantly appreciated and…..magnificent beyond words!! So glad you’re part of our Team! Happy 25th Anniversary at Princess Dental Centre Heather!! We love you!
Join Us And Count Your Cubes!
April is Oral Health month and Princess Dental Centre would like to invite you to participate in the Count Your Cubes Sugary Drink Challenge with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. This challenge is to help our community track and reduce the amount of sugar they are consuming in common beverages!
For the first week, you are encouraged to consume your regular beverages and keep track using the online calendar at www.countyourcubes.com . Then, for the remaining three weeks until the challenge ends, you will receive weekly emails from firstname.lastname@example.org to support you in your personal Challenge. “Counting Your Cubes” has never been easier. Participation is confidential, and you can choose to participate as an individual, a family or on a team.
How to participate
To get started, you must first create an account at www.countyourcubes.ca using your email address, verify your account information, and then start tracking your intake. It’s that easy! Don’t forget to check your junk box in case your validation email and tip emails were filtered there.
We hope you join us in making a healthier community!
Thank you to everyone who came out to Dr Smith’s retirement party. The turnout was amazing and a real testament to how many people Dr Smith touched throughout his career.
As the holiday season approaches and the celebrations start, we at Princess Dental Centre thought our small community could share some of that Christmas joy with each other.
Post past photos of you and yours celebrating Christmas. Each photo posted will count as an entry to win a Limited Edition Star Wars 40th Anniversary Crosley Turn Table and the Pink Floyd “Dark Side of the Moon” Album Remastered to go with it.
So whether it’s the ugly Christmas sweater, fruitcake eating contest, or stocking full of coal, we want to see them all.
P.S. There are no limits to photo entries. So post those photos on our facebook page. Last day for entry posts is Dec. 27th. Please use #princessdentalcentre
In an effort to provide you the excellent service you deserve, Princess Dental Centre is excited to announce our new patient communication system. One of the things this system allows us to do is use email and text appointment reminders that make it simple to confirm your next appointment.
7 days before your next appointment you will receive a confirmation email or text depending on what contact info we have on file. You will be able to confirm this appointment with a simple click in the email or reply text. If we don’t hear from you we will send another confirmation text or email 2 days prior to your appointment in which you will have another opportunity to confirm. You will get one final reminder 3 hours before your appointment or for early morning appointments the night before.
We will also be able to use this system to provide our patients new information via our monthly newsletter.
We would like to take this time to officially welcome Jillian, Brittany, and Abby to our team.
Another change in our office is Dr. Smith’s hours. He has been gradually transitioning from a full-time practice to a reduced work week. Due to this reduced schedule, some future dental exams and treatment may need to be booked with either Dr. Jill Gudmandson or Dr. Geoff McIntosh.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of these items, please feel free to contact our office.
Facebook Contest Winner Announced!
Congratulations Elissa Crompton
Dr. Geoff McIntosh and a couple of our staff members including the littlest McIntosh, congratulate Elissa on her win! Thanks again for following us and stay tuned on what’s coming up next for our Facebook friends!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours.
