Porcelain Inlays/Onlays

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays are equally as durable as composite fillings but offer an exceptional amount of strength and support for weakened molars. Inlays and Onlays are an excellent choice for teeth that are decayed, previously undergone extensive restoration and molars that must stand up to heavy chewing. Different from crowns that cover the entire tooth, Inlays and Onlays only cover a portion of the tooth and therefore require less tooth preparation.

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays can be customized to meet the shade of your natural teeth to ensure a more attractive natural look. They are fashioned from the same porcelain material used in crowns and bridgework. Porcelain Inlays and Onlays have a similar appearance to composite-based tooth restoration materials, but because of their materials and the laboratory process involved in their creation, porcelain Inlays/Onlays are found to be more durable and stronger than their composite counterparts.
